Why do I need to include my credit card number before opening a trip?

For security reasons, we need you to enter your credit card number. Both day-passes and subscriptions are charged upon purchase. We charge any cost related to the trip when you close it and we therefore require payment details before you use the e-bike. You will only need to enter your credit card number once.
If you misuse the service, you may also be charged a penalty and we require your credit card number in case this is necessary.
